The Dream
Just in case you have ever wondered...yes, we still have the dream. The dream of living in a camper/rv, moving around from place to place, and meeting all kinds of new people. About 4-5 weeks ago I started searching for online jobs. I plan to apply for all that I find in my field until I finally get one. So, if you know of any online-only professor (Counselor Education) jobs out there, let me know!
In the meantime, we would like to practice this summer so we are now in the market for our new home. We can't decide if an rv or a pull-type camper will be best for us. We want one that has a few years on it: 1. Because we are on a very LIMITED budget 2. Because we want to rip the floor covering up and paint it pretty loud colors on the inside--it is an adventure, right?
Who knows if we ever will get to live out our little dream of nomadic living or not. Regardless, we can still act like we may one day have the opportunity. If you have listened to me talk about it, you know my fear is that is all we are going to do--just talk about it. I am afraid that we are going to be like most people--just talk about your dreams and never take the risk to fulfill them. I DO NOT WANT TO BE SITTING ON MY BACK PORCH IN MY 70's and REGRET NOT DOING THIS! I really, really want to give it a try.
So, what is the issue? Umm...you obviously haven't read very much from me if you can't answer that! BECAUSE I AM A NERD--a factual person, an analyzer, and a VERY calculated risk taker. Leaving with no plan except that you may not be able to feed your family one day because you foolishly wasted your savings on an rv and didn't have a plan for putting gas in the thing, buying groceries, and paying camping fees...well, that seems kinda risky (actually downright foolish) to me.
So, in the meantime, just know we are still dreaming...looking at Craigslist and a lot of camper-for- sale groups on FB every day. Maybe one day...
**Have a way we can make money on the road? Share it! (NOT interested in sales/sales consultant type things)
